We are brainwashed thanks, to our Willie Lynch mind-set and media obsession with skin color. We are embarrassed with our nappy hair. Does that make yourself more European? We have natural hair treatment that we used to avoid nappy hair. You can add extensions and weave with an silkier texture. It still does not mean you are unhappy with your race. Weave has a negative connotation and women debate, and have to defend the ideology of weave. Now, the skin bleaching cream is a horse of another color (no hair pun intended) because it is shameful that you hate your skin.

Even in songs people want a “Yellow” women like it is a trophy. When did black become ugly? Black became ugly during slavery and the House Slaves were usually mulattoes. The darker skinned slaves were treated as second class slaves and were required to be in the field. Our generation wouldn’t doubt their beauty unless this hatred is taught. We stopped loving ourselves.

You can’t leave your job dark-skinned and then show up the next day the color of    Mariah Carey.

Something is wrong here, mentally not physically.

Your body, your liver, your self-hate and self-deprivation!
